The volumetric diet is perhaps not well known, although its elements are often used in other ways of eating. It’s a type of weight loss diet and is based on an appropriate balance of nutritional value and calorie content. It’s a safe method of weight loss, which allows you to effectively and permanently get rid of weight problems. In addition, it perfectly affects the work of the whole body, including to a large extent the heart.
The volumetric diet is not drastic, so it allows you to lose weight at a healthy pace. The main premise of this diet is that you can eat more low-calorie products. This makes it possible to quickly get satiated without eating a lot of calories that could put aside fat. It’s essential that all foods we eat contain large amounts of water. This way, they become larger by volume, and our stomach will be full faster. In addition, providing the right amount of water to the body in itself has a beneficial effect on the metabolism process, improving the functioning of the whole organism. In the volumetric diet, small amounts of salts and fats, especially saturated ones, are used. Without conscience, you can eat vegetables and fruit as much as you like. Also, yogurts will work here perfectly, because they not only help maintain good intestinal function and high immunity, but also contain large amounts of water.
Volumetric diet – rules
The most important rule when using a volumetric diet is to prepare meals with a small number of calories. There is also a division of food into several groups. The first of these are products that can be eaten in any quantity, such as vegetables and fruits, especially those less sweet. There are also yoghurts, non-fat milk and soups cooked on vegetable broth. The second group includes the permitted products, such as those consisting of whole grains, more sweet fruits and vegetables, lean meats as well as oils. In the third group, we find food that we can consume rather sporadically and in small quantities. These are greasy cheeses, white bread, pork and duck or geese, i.e. high fat. In the last group there are already products that we should avoid like fire, i.e. butter, chips, sweets, crackers or other salty snacks.
Meals during the volumetric diet should be consumed about every three hours. Also important here is the energy density, which must be as small as possible.
The volumetric diet has many advantages, so it’s worth going on it. It’s relatively easy, because the volume of meals in relation to the previous nutrition does not change. Only their calorific value is reduced, and each energy deficit causes weight loss. Thanks to this diet, we will accelerate our metabolism and stimulate the body to regular, correct work. In addition, we will stabilize the blood sugar level in this way. Weight loss is estimated at a minimum of 1 kilogram per week, which ensures safe slimming and durability of effects.
