Everyone knows about drinking water. It’s extremely important for every human being and we should drink a minimum of 1.5 liters a day. In the process of weight loss, drinking is even more important, so people fighting with extra weight should not part with their bottle of “beloved water” during the day. Today, we would like to stay on the subject of water, but focusing on one fundamental issue – carbonated or non-carbonated water, when it comes to weight loss.
If we look at a bottle of carbonated and non-carbonated water, at first glance, they do not differ. After unscrewing the cap, we can see these well-known bubbles in carbonated water, not in still water. But how do these waters really differ from each other? What does one have and what is not in the other?
First of all, why is water so important in the weight loss process?
If you are trying to lose weight, the main issue is to increase the amount of vegetables consumed, and reduce the amount of simple sugars. In addition, drinking water is one of the most important issues. Drinking water allows us to remove toxins from the body and unnecessary metabolic products. Water affects the proper functioning of the body, and although it does not slow down in itself, it’s of great importance in the process of weight loss itself, promoting the loss of body fat. It reduces the feeling of hunger, activates the functions of dietary fiber, supports the work of the digestive tract, protects against constipation. The advantage of drinking water is really a lot, so you must always remember about it, especially during weight loss.
Second – which water?
Compared to carbonated and non-carbonated water, their main difference is the presence of carbon dioxide in the former. And although it definitely quenches thirst and refreshes, during the weight loss process still water is what we should reach for. Sparkling water often irritates the stomach mucosa, causes bloating, heartburn, ulceration and even gastritis. Non-carbonated water is milder for our stomach, and it makes us able to drink it in the morning and evening and during training, before and after meals, always! And although mineral salts contained in carbonated water are better absorbed, in spite of everything in the process of slimming, it’s definitely worth drinking non-carbonated water.
Third – the type of water
The fact that we have carbonated and non-carbonated water is one thing, but if we lose weight, what is in that water is also very important. Under no circumstances should we reach for the flavored waters, because they contain sugar or glucose – fructose syrup, and this makes the process of slimming instead of going forward, stop or go back, because we provide the body with subsequent, unnecessary calories. It’s worth drinking one that has large amounts of calcium and magnesium in it. And the brand? It depends only on our preferences.
In the reduction of body fat, water is extremely important and we should never forget about it. It reduces the feeling of satiety, removes toxins, affects metabolic processes. And when it comes to carbonated and non-carbonated water, each of them actually irrigates and works the same way for the body, however, due to the fact that carbonated gas often causes large problems on the part of the digestive system, its use is not recommended.
