ARTICHOKE FOR WEIGHT LOSS

Artichoke is a vegetable especially appreciated in Greece and Rome. Easy to grow, acts as an antifredient while resistant to pathogens. Particularly valuable is the artichoke extract, which is both excellent for health as well as for the figure itself. To get an extract of artichoke, you should use those parts of the plant that you do not eat, so the leaves and stems. It all shows that the plant itself is not the most valuable, but it’s the extract that we get from it.

Artichoke extract – composition

The artichoke extract is very rich in antioxidants. We also find there, among others, many vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, potassium, sodium and phosphorus. Although it has a slightly bitter taste in its taste, for many it’s the basis of a daily diet because of these nutritional properties. It’s particularly valued in the Mediterranean, in China, as well as in South America, the USA and the Middle East.

Artichoke properties

Artichoke has strong nutritional as well as healing values. It helps, for example, with diseases of the bile ducts, has antibacterial, hepatoprotective and also anti-HIV properties. Artichoke supports digestion, cures anemia, and scurvy. It inhibits cholesterol biosynthesis and oxidation of the LDL fraction, while increasing the HDL cholesterol concentration. It cures arteriosclerosis, hypertension as well as coronary heart disease. The substances contained in artichoke capture free radicals as well as reactive oxygen species. It allows you to maintain the appropriate concentration of bacterial strains by maintaining appropriate conditions for them. Furthermore, artichoke compounds can block the secretion of carcinogens, thereby inhibiting the growth of cancer cells. It works on indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome and upset stomach.

Does artichoke help with weight loss? It turns out that yes, because it exhibits properties beneficial to supporting digestion. It speeds up the work of metabolism, protects against constipation due to the high fiber content, improves the removal of faeces and has a low calorific value. Does artichoke help lose weight? Not if we think it should be used as a miracle cure, but yes, if we introduce it to our healthy and balanced diet. The extract of artichoke contains, among other things, chlorogenic acid, which reduces the absorption of sugars in the gastrointestinal tract, forcing the body to use carbon and fat stores. What’s more, by reducing blood glucose and cholesterol levels, it can also reduce the weight accumulated in the body.

It’s worth to add the extract of artichoke into our diet, because it has strong weight loss and healing properties, definitely more than the vegetable itself. It does not cause any side effects. Artichoke and weight loss are the best combination you can make. There are weight loss pills available on the market, in which artichoke plays the main role. Is it worth it? Yes, but the extract of this vegetable definitely has better properties.
