Cambridge Diet is one of the main diets used by British women.
This weight plan is called a “last chance diet” and is used mainly in obesity treatment and in the cases when 1000 Calorie Diet is not effective.
Cambridge weight plan consists of 3 meals, which are industrially prepared. The producer guarantees, that these products contain all the elements of proper diet:
- protein,
- small amount of carbohydrates and fat,
- fiber,
- vitamins and minerals at the doses corresponding to the daily needs of the organism.
During weight loss program with the help of Cambridge Diet it is forbidden to use: sugar and milk in coffee or tea, herbal teas, low-calorie sparkling drinks, tea with lemon and other food products including vegetables. Cambridge weight plan may be used only for 3 weeks (21 days).
This diet excludes people with diabetes, children and adolescents, breastfeeding mothers, patients after heart attack or stroke.
Applying this diet provides the desired effect, which is weight loss, however, also other beneficial results are observed, such as fat metabolism regulation, characterized by the decrease of „bad” cholesterol and the decrease of high glucose level and blood pressure. Unbeneficial feature of this diet is yo-yo effect, as a result of which we regain lost kilograms or even more.
