Our diet is responsible for 75% of how we look. There is a reason why they say that you are what you eat. Depending on how our meals look like, what we put on the plate and what we buy in the store, also affects our appearance, our mood, energy, and almost every other aspect of our life. In this article, we would like to list those products that we should avoid like fire and which absolutely should not be in our diet if we want to lose weight and desire to get the figure that we care about.

This article will tell you if your diet includes any of the products on the blacklist. Are you ready?
• Fries and crisps
Who among us doesn’t like delicious fries as a side to pork chops? Who doesn’t love eating crisps during an evening movie screening? It’s true that most of us love these potato treats, but unfortunately they have nothing to do with weight loss. Potatoes themselves are healthy and of course their presence in a reducing diet is advisable. French fries and crisps are fried in deep oil and their caloric content automatically increases. What’s more, they can contain carcinogens, are unhealthy and fatty. So we should definitely turn them down.
• Sweet drinks
Sometimes we drink something, thinking that if it’s not food, it won’t provide us with many calories. There’s nothing more wrong. All soft drinks and juice available in stores have sugar in very large quantities. Drinking them, we also drink a lot of calories, but we don’t feel saturated after drinking it, which means we also need to provide our body with more calories in form of food, and an additional drink. Instead of sweet drinks, it’s worth choosing water that we should drink a minimum of 2.5 litres a day of, as well as 100% juice, squeezed from your favourite fruit.
• White bread
There is a large amount of sugar in white bread, and it’s refined, has a high glycaemic index and can raise blood sugar levels. By eating white bread we provide large amounts of calories, and we only satisfy ourselves for a moment. It’s worth introducing healthy substitutes to our diet. Like what? For example: 100% rye, whole grain or multigrain. It’s good to find a place where we can buy really good quality bread or if we have the opportunity, bake it ourselves.
• Bars and other sweets
In chocolate bars and other sweets there is a lot of sugar, various types of unhealthy oils and other additives. They don’t have the right nutrients, but they are very high in calories. Moreover, they are highly refined. Instead of sweets, it’s better to have some nuts or fruit.
• Alcohol
Although alcohol doesn’t seem like it, it provides the body with a lot of calories. And although there is no research that it leads to weight gain, its restriction is most advisable, and what is more, complete elimination is the best option.
• Ice cream
On hot days, ice cream seems to be one of the best ways to cool down. However, apart from the fact that they are very tasty, they don’t belong to healthy products. They have a lot of calories and sugar in them. A good alternative to ice cream from the store are home-made ones, which can be made from fruit alone or combined with natural yogurt.
• Pizza
Pizza is one of the most popular fast foods on the market and there is probably no one who would not like it, right? However, pizza has huge amounts of calories, and it’s very unhealthy, from refined flour, through sauces full of sugars, to unhealthy additions. If you fancy a pizza, we can compose it from our own ingredients.
• Coffee drinks
Living at such a pace as we do, we often reach for high-calorie coffee drinks, which are very unhealthy for the body, and also contain such chemicals that adversely affect our body. Not to mention the fact that they contain huge amounts sugar. If we like coffee, surely black coffee is absolutely enough.
• Additional sugar
Unfortunately, most of the products that are available in stores today contain sugar, from sauces in jars, through yoghurts, to canning. Sugar is literally everywhere and we often think that we have eliminated it from our diet, and in fact it’s present in many products we eat. It’s therefore worth limiting not only the sugar in pure form, but also that in processed products and packaged food.
If we eliminate the above products from our diet, we are convinced that in a very short time each of you will manage to achieve the weight you care about. Sometimes small changes can make a big difference to us.
