The word weight loss for most of us is associated, unfortunately, with a total regime, lack of energy and reluctance to everything. We want to lose weight, but we have absolutely no motivation, no will and no strength. Unfortunately, nothing will happen if we don’t start, and we will not achieve anything. Well, good, we are now motivated, we act, we make it seem ours. But a week or two passes, a month passes, and another and the weight stands still. We do not know why we can’t dump those last few kilos. What’s wrong? What’s going on? In this article, we look at one fundamental issue, namely weight loss – the most common mistakes that many of us make and which cause that weight does not budge.
However, before we mention these mistakes, it’s important to know that each of us is completely different. There is not one specific diet for everyone. One of them will work for one person, in others a completely different diet will bring the same effects and it’s completely understandable. In weight loss the basis is primarily an individual plan, tailored specifically to the person. It’s matched in terms of their health, what they like to eat, what they likes, what their work looks like, how much time they can devote to preparing meals, whether it will be combined with exercise or not. Every smallest point matters and everyone plays an extremely important role. However, there are a few rules that are the biggest mistakes most of us have. Sometimes it’s enough to change them, and everything can look different and problems, when it comes to weight loss, simply cease to exist.
Mistakes in weight loss
- We don’t have a plan
During weight loss, the foundation is to have a good plan, because if we do not have it we fall into strange, even stupid ideas that make the weight still stand still. You have to realise that you will not lose a few kilos in a week or two. Keep this in mind and do not give up too quickly. If we think only of the effect itself, we will burn out quickly. It’s worth to break the goal down to more, smaller ones and with hard work and consistency slowly strive for them. Let’s not set a goal of dropping 10 kilograms, because before we achieve it, our motivation would be gone to zero. We can set, for example, three kilos in a month. We can determine that in three months we will get into a smaller size dress. Every little thing is good, if the time to achieve it’s simply shorter. It’s only this way that we are able to achieve success. The best option is 0.5 – 1 kilogram per week, no more if you do not want to achieve the yo-yo effect. Slowly, but always forward. And in addition to the goals, set a plan – we will run three times a week, we will not eat chocolate and other sweets, we will start to ride a bicycle to work. The more such ideas for yourself, the surely the weight loss process will be definitely more pleasant and more effective.
- We eat too little
For most people, diet is associated with not eating or eating very little. This is not true, because we often do not lose weight, because we eat too little. If the body regularly gets food, its metabolism works at its highest. If we do not eat too much, the body loses a little, and then we experience the yo-yo effect and weight return with a surplus, which is why it’s so important that we put on a healthy, rational diet and ate about five meals a day, respectively.
- We do not change exercises
If the body constantly receives the same dose of activity, and we in no way change it and do not modify it, then it gets used to it and it’s not a stimulus for it to positively affect our body and the process of weight loss. So if we want to look great and quickly see the effects of our work, we should focus on diversity, because only that will give us the desired results.
- We quickly give up
Most of us after going on a diet give up too quickly, thinking that it does not give anything. The results are there, but you have to wait patiently for them. Asking yourself why I’m not losing weight, have you ever wondered how long this process lasts? Fitness industry stars have not reached such a body in a month or a year, but they have been working hard every day for many years. The effects can be seen not immediately, but after some time from entering the state of activity and the use of specific diets. And what’s important – don’t you think, let’s just measure or what’s important – let’s look at your reflection in the mirror, because that’s the only real determinant of our weight loss process.
- We listen to „wonderful advice”
We listen to everything around and, unfortunately, from sources that have absolutely no authority. Being in the store, we see „light” products and buy them right away. And it turns out that in their composition there is a mass of enhancers and flavour enhancers that are much worse than ordinary non-light products.
The basis is a varied and balanced diet and only this should be a superior element for us. If we have calculated the daily demand for calories, let’s compose a diet so that it’s perfect for us, and following the above advice, the problem of the lack of visible effects can be eliminated as much as possible.
