Resveratrol – the power of red wine

1. Resveratrol in wine and not only

Resveratrol is a molecule found in red wine, whose properties have been associated for long time with longevity and positive effects on health. This valuable antioxidant has its source primarily in grapes, but it occurs (though to a lesser extent) in pineapples, blueberries, black currants, apricots, mulberry fruits, peanuts and cranberries.

2. Benefits of resveratrol
.
As previously mentioned, resveratrol is seen primarily as a way to prolong human life and, as some studies show, in animals. This substance has very similar properties to compounds called bioflavonoids.

The latter are natural compounds found in plants that protect them against all kinds of diseases and other harmful microorganisms.

Examples of resveratrol activities that connect it
with bioflavonoids are
.
– reducing the risk of osteoporosis;
.
– regulating excessive blood pressure;
.
– acceleration of fat loss.
.
3. Application
.
Due to the fact that resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant, it can be successfully used in sports supplementation. In addition to detoxification, it stimulates fat burning, strengthens the synthesis of nitric oxide responsible for the muscle pump effect, and also modulates estrogens. In addition, it is worth mentioning the regulation of blood glucose and insulin sensitivity.

4. How to use?
.
The dosage of resveratrol is inextricably linked to the goal we want to achieve. Below we present daily servings of the preparation in relation to the expected effect
.
– 5-10 mg – improvement of cardiovascular function, increase of insulin sensitivity;
.
– 150-445 mg – support for physical condition;
.
– 250-500 mg – better brain perfusion;
.
– from 500 mg upwards – aromatase inhibition.
