WHAT CAN HARM YOUR WEIGHT LOSS?

We want to look better, we want to lose weight, and finally we want to fight for a better self. Unfortunately, despite the great determination, consistency and dedication, the weight stands still, and we can’t get rid of this excess body fat at all. And what can we do about it? What prevents us from achieving our goal? Is something wrong with us?

It turns out that there are some things that can have a huge impact on why we can’t lose weight. What is among them, what is the main culprit in this state of affairs?

One of the overarching problems and at the same time one of the 21st century diseases is stress. It’s stress that can contribute to both weight gain and blockade to be able to fight this excess weight. We are stressed, so we eat, we stress more, so we don’t look at what lands in our stomach. Everything revolves around stress, and unable to deal with it, we eat more than we should and even if we exercise, this amount of calories is so high that there can be no reduction. And if you don’t exercise, you may also gain extra weight.

Medication is another problem. Many of them contain substances that are mainly responsible for the fact that we can’t lose weight in their composition. If the package leaflet says that the drug may cause weight gain, then probably the main problem is the medicines we are taking. In such situations, even if we eat healthy and properly, and exercise regularly, the side effects of taking medications are such that we will not be able to achieve what we care about.

Another culprit is sleep, more precisely the lack of sleep or insufficient sleep. If we sleep properly, we feel better, we have energy, and our metabolism works at the highest speed. If we have trouble sleeping, fatigue alone causes weight gain. If we sleep these eight hours a day, we are less likely to reach for high-fat snacks as well as sugar. By sleeping the right amount of hours, we can save up to 300 calories during the day. Insomnia sufferers usually have a problem with being unable to cope with excess weight.

Large food portions are the next problem. Even if we eat healthy, we don’t reach for any sweet things or salty snacks, if we eat a lot, we gain weight, because the amount of calories taken is greater than we need. It’s worth checking how many grams or millilitres of a given product goes to our stomach, because thanks to it we know how many calories we consume and whether it does not exceed our daily needs. Even if we don’t feel full, we don’t have to reach for something extra to „fill up”. We only feel the effects of our meal in the stomach after around 20 minutes, so it’s better to wait than load another meal into your stomach.

Low fat products are another factor affecting our weight loss problems. We think they are healthy, low in calories and suitable if we are on a reduction diet. Nothing could be more wrong. It’s very often the case that these dietary products are more packed with sugar and salt than we might think. We shouldn’t believe in anything that says low-fat, because it often has nothing to do with this word. It’s better to cook alone at home, because only then we can be sure what ends up on our plate.

And the last of the problems is a sedentary lifestyle. If we spend the whole day watching TV when returning from work, we are not surprised that we look like we look and the weight does not want to go down. Instead of your favourite shows, maybe it’s better to go for a walk with a loved one, take children for a bike ride, run with a friend, and go to the gym? There are so many ways of spending free time that certainly everyone can find something perfect for themselves. And if we can no longer give up the TV show, instead of lying down on the couch, let’s lie on the mat on the ground and do some exercises. Certainly it will be much better than just sitting.

If we eliminate the above problems, you will undoubtedly quickly find out that you can lose weight if you want to. Small changes in life, a different approach, a change in habits – all this can make life look definitely different, so it’s worth doing everything in our power to approach the topic properly and get the effect that we care about.
