WHAT COULD PREVENT WEIGHT LOSS?

We want to look better; we want to lose weight, in the end we want to fight for our better self. Unfortunately, despite a lot of determination, consistency and sacrifice, our weight stands still, and we can’t get rid of this excess fat at all. What do we do about it? What hinders us in achieving the intended goal? Is something wrong with us?

It turns out that there are some things that can have a huge impact on why we can’t lose weight. What counts towards it, what makes it this way?

One of the overarching problems and, at the same time, civilization diseases of the 21st century is stress. It’s stress that can contribute to both weight gain and blockage, so that this excess weight can be lost. We stress, so we snack, we stress so we don’t look at what lands in our stomach. Everything revolves around stress, and being unable to deal with it, we eat more than we should and even if we exercise, this amount of calories is so big that reduction doesn’t work. And if we don’t exercise, we can also gain more weight.

Drugs are another problem. Many of them contain such substances that are mainly responsible for the fact that we can’t lose weight. If the leaflet in the packaging says that the drug may cause weight gain, it’s probably the drugs you are taking that are the main problem. In such a situation, even if we are healthy, properly nourished, and regularly exercise, the side effects of taking drugs are such that we fail to achieve what we care about.

Another culprit is sleep, or more precisely, lack of sleep or insufficient amount of sleep. If we sleep properly, we have a good frame of mind, we have energy, and our metabolism works at the highest level. If we have sleep problems, fatigue alone causes weight gain. If we sleep eight hours a day, we are less likely to reach for high-fat snacks as well as sugar. Sleeping the right amount of hours, we can save up to 300 calories a day. People with insomnia usually have a problem with the fact that they can’t cope with excess weight.

The next big problems are the large portions of food. Even if we eat healthy, we don’t reach for any sweet things or salty snacks, if we eat a lot, we will be fat, because the amount of calories we eat is greater than we need. It’s worth checking how many grams or millilitres of a given product goes to our stomach, because thanks to this we know what amount of calories we consume and whether it does not exceed our daily requirements. Even if we don’t feel full, we don’t have to reach for something else to „fill up”. The feeling of satisfying hunger appears after about 20 minutes, which is why it’s better to wait than to load another meal into your stomach.

The next thing that affects our weight loss problems are low-fat products. It seems to us that they are healthy, small-calorie and suitable if we are on reduction. Nothing could be more wrong. It’s very often the case that these diet products are more packed with sugar and salt than we might think. Don’t believe in low-fat words, because they often have nothing to do with weight loss. Let’s cook better at home alone, because only then we know what goes onto our plate and how much fat in fact it has.

And the last of the problems is a sedentary lifestyle. If, when returning from work, we spend the whole day in front of the TV, don’t be surprised that we look like we look, and the weight does not want to go down. Instead of your favourite programs, it may be better to go out with a loved one for a walk, take children on a bike, run with a friend, and go out to a fitness class or a gym? There are so many ways of spending free time that certainly everyone is able to find something perfect for themselves. And if we can’t give up a given program anymore, instead of lying idly on the couch, let’s lie on the mat on the ground and do some exercises. Certainly it will be much better than just sitting.

If we eliminate the above problems, we will no doubt quickly find out that you can lose weight if you want to. Small changes in life, different approach, change of habits – all this can make life look much different, therefore it’s worth doing everything in our power to approach the topic appropriately and get the effect we care about.
