Cheat meal in the simplest sense is a so-called cheated meal. We can reach for something that’s not allowed, not in our diet, but what is a small addition to our healthy, balanced food. Chocolate, white bread, fast food, ice cream… There are many products to choose from, and each of us certainly has one that they love, but with the transition to a diet, it could seem – we must forget about them. It turns out that not quite, because cheat meal or cheat day is a way to make our new diet not so horrible, awful and impossible. When should the cheat meal be used or in which form to choose it? For example, we can put one unhealthy meal during the day or have one day a week, where we do not pay much attention to what lands on our plate. Such a small deviation from normality means that for many people the diet is not so terrible and it is not as easy to give up if we know that we do not have to be radical with it at all times.
How does cheat meal affect our weight reduction?
Is it possible to eat one unhealthy meal during the day or have one day outside the diet during the week to reach our goal and lose unnecessary kilograms? It turns out that you can! It would seem that this solution is not beneficial at all, because if we are on a diet, we should apply it fully. Any deviation is a step back and an even worse feeling. It turns out, however, that such a cheat meal can positively affect our psyche, but also the results achieved.
If we use a reducing diet, our metabolism slows down, and at the same time we feel hunger more often. Our mass is transformed into energy. Thyroid begins to fail because there is a decrease in hormone levels. The body is weak and tired. After a few weeks the body is finished, often a person begins to fall into a psychic pit. For many people, this ends with stopping the diet and returning to old habits. Such a cheat meal is the best you can do. It will affect your well-being, let you release the happiness hormone, give us a reward for the effort you put into your work.
How much can we use this tactic? Some choose one meal during the day, although this is not the best option. So let’s choose one day a week, because it’s the best solution possible. To how many kcal can we have during a cheat day? In fact, it is a day where we do not need to count those calories, but it is worth keeping moderation. It is not a matter of pushing ourselves, because as we know, one can not eat in advance. We eat more and different, but not exaggerated! Is a cheat meal for everyone? No! If someone is not able to eat one chocolate bar, which he chose as a reward during the day and immediately eats the entire plate, such a solution is not a good idea.
The more rigorous our diet is, the more often and harder we feel hunger. This causes a great threat that at the moment of a hunger attack, we will start to reach for things we shouldn’t, or in such quantity as to overwhelm us. Instead of fighting with each other, trying to stick to the diet, it is definitely worth to bet on such a cheat meal or cheat day, because it’s a stepping stone from the daily diet, this reward for our contribution is a way to speed up the work of metabolism, which during reduction becomes much slower.
