The human body in almost 80% consists of water. It’s one of the ingredients that we need to live. During all life functions its quantity decreases, which is why it’s important to replenish it. Water ensures proper operation of our body systems as well as all organs. If we drink too little then there may be problems with their proper functioning.
Each of us has the opportunity to drink different types of water. Some choose tap water, others opt for filtered water, others for the bottled versions available in stores, which are also many types on the market. What should we drink? Which will be the best? What to look for when choosing it?
Tap water
When it comes to drinking tap water, we find many people that don’t agree with it, as well as many supporters. According to the majority, tap water contains a lot of bacteria and viruses that are very dangerous to our health. If we are to answer the question whether it’s harmful, there is no definite answer. Everything depends on the location we are talking about. In many parts of our country, the water is clean and drinkable, in other places it’s completely unsuitable for drinking. Before starting the adventure with tap water, it’s worth finding out whether our city has water that can be consumed. In the event of a breakdown or change, it’s necessary to temporarily stop drinking until everything returns to the right order.
Bottled carbonated water
One of the water available on the market is carbonated water. It’s healthy and clean and very safe for our body. In the case of carbonated water, its quantity should be limited, because the excess can cause problems with the digestive system. Due to the presence of gas, you can drink it, but not in unlimited amount.
Bottled mineral water
This water available in stores is not carbonated, and referred to as non-carbonated. It’s very safe for our health and we can drink it in any amount. It hydrates the body and provides essential minerals that are important for the proper functioning of the body. Children and adults, sick people and pregnant women can drink it, but here it’s better to get water for future mothers, because an excess of some ingredients can be dangerous for our health.
Mineralized bottled water
And the next group of waters are highly mineralized waters. Such waters have higher doses of minerals, which is why they are even more needed and worth choosing. Such waters are fully purified. They are aimed primarily at athletes, because they provide electrolytes, which during the activity are removed along with the sweat.
So if you want to choose the right water, it’s best to get mineral water. From time to time, you can choose carbonated water, and if you are physically active, you can get highly mineralized water.
