Yerba mate – it will stimulate and help losing weight!

Yerba mate is a popular plant that is used to prepare a stimulating drink. The brew created is very often a replacement for coffee due to the very rich composition and thermogenic effect. What other benefits are derived from the long-term use of this substance?

  1. General information

Yerba mate also called erva mate or chimarrao are ground and dried leaves and sticks of yerba mate. They are mainly used in South America and in some Middle East regions to brew. This preparation is rich in bioactive compounds such as caffeine, ursolic acid or quercitin.

  1. Composition and use

Erva is a very good solution for a high-fat diet, to reduce weight and prevent obesity. By eliminating the feeling of hunger and providing a large number of vitamins and minerals, it is an important part of the diet. In the yerba composition we can find many nutrients

– vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E;

– riboflavin;

– citric, hydrochloric and nicotinic acid;

– choline;

– elements phosphorus, silicon, magnesium, manganese, potassium, sulfur, sodium and iron.

This product is used to relieve myocardial dysfunction, premenstrual syndrome symptoms and excessive mental and physical fatigue.

  1. Properties

Chimarrao’s operation is mainly of a reducing nature. Burning adipose tissue and suppressing excessive appetite is possible mainly due to the caffeine present in it. It turns out that 20 days of supplementation reduces LDL cholesterol.

Yerba mate also has a diuretic, antioxidant, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, stimulating effect on memory and concentration processes as well as protection for the cardiovascular system.

  1. Supplementation

Studies show that yerba supplementation should take 60 days, during which a dose of 3 glasses (each 330 ml) is used. The daily dose of substance in the amount of 1.5 l is safe. In turn, a portion of isolated, powdered yerba should be in the range of 1000 to 1500 mg of leaves.

Contraindications to the use of this preparation are peptic ulcer disease and pregnancy. It is accepted that yerba mate can cause nausea, vomiting and increase in blood pressure.
